Bleeding Gums

Bleeding gums are often a sign of gum disease, which can result from poor oral hygiene, tartar buildup on the teeth, gum infections, certain medications, hormonal changes, or genetic factors.

Based on the underlying cause of the gum disease, one or more of the following treatments may be recommended:

• Maintaining proper oral hygiene

• Professional teeth cleaning and polishing

• Deep gum cleaning (curettage)

• Flap surgery
